The Van-Far Elementary School buzzed with excitement as parents and their little ones gathered for the annual Kindergarten Round-Up last week for next year’s kindergarten class.
Lori Culwell, Parents as Teachers coordinator made it fun for the upcoming kindergarteners. Lori set a up a scavenger hunt throughout the school so students could find the important places like cafeteria, specials area (PE, music, art, library, etc.), nurse’s office, tour a school bus and meet the kindergarten teachers and tour the classrooms.
At the start of the scavenger hunt they were give a chain necklace and at every stop they collected a charm to add to their necklace. When they completed their hunt, the students “signed” their letter of intent to be part of Van-Far Elementary.
