Tammy Lynn Calhoun, 61, died June 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, following a two-year fight with multiple melanoma.

A family led memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Frankford Baptist Church in Frankford, Mo., with Rev. Randy McDonald officiating. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the church.

Tammy was born in Louisiana, Mo., Aug. 1, 1962, the daughter of Hardy Jr. and Selia Ann Lee Wilson. She was raised on the family farm in Frankford and attended Frankford and Bowling Green Schools. It was during her school years while out on a boat, that she noticed Ronald Guy Calhoun out on the water in his own boat and fell in love. On Oct. 7, 1978, at her grandmother’s house on the family farm, Tammy and Ronald united in marriage. Following their marriage, Tammy left school and began to focus on her new family.

Tammy spent the early years of her marriage being a stay-at-home wife and mother, raising her two boys. When the boys were older, she found a love for landscaping and interior designing. She was an avid outdoorsman, she was often found hunting anything and everything, and fishing on the river with her family. Tammy was also known for dancing, going to thrift stores, and cooking, especially for the “girlfriend parties” she would host for her girls’ group. Above all, Tammy loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Ronald Guy Calhoun of Frankford; sons, Shane Allen Calhoun (Melissa Lesley) of Frankford and Dylan Guy Calhoun (Kate) of Frankford; grandchildren Ryder Guy Calhoun, Bonnie Calhoun and Spencer Calhoun; brothers Hardy “Bud” Wilson III of Louisiana and Heath Wilson (Kitty) of Frankford; sisters, Tina Keller (Joe Grote) of Louisiana and Tracy Clinger (Rev. Don) of the state of Ohio; Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s.

Her grandparents, her parents and her parent-in-law’s, died earlier.
