Moberly, Mo.—Under the bright lights of Moberly Motorsports Park, where the roar of engines and the cheer of the crowd blend into the night sky, Trophy Tuesday was the highlight of the week.

Among the lineup of seasoned drivers, Jace Gay started ninth and finished fourth in his heat. That would set him to start fourth in the feature lineup

Jace was racing against a legend—NASCAR’s Ken Schrader. Schrader, with years of experience and countless victories under his belt, was the favorite to win, but Jace, was determined to give him a run for his money.

As the engines roared to life, the crowd cheered with anticipation. The race began with a burst of speed, cars jostling for position, dirt flying, the noise deafening.

Jace started strong, his A Modified racer hugging the curves of the track as he settled into third place, right behind Tyker Hibner and Schrader. Cautions were key for Jace in the feature.

On the second caution, Jace got the jump on Hibner and took second right behind Schrader. In the coming laps, Jace would chip away at Schrader’s lead but there just weren’t enough laps to overcome the first-place car.

Jace would finish second behind Schrader for the first Trophy Tuesday at Moberly Motorsports Park.

Jace will be back in action, Tuesday, June 4, for the second Trophy Tuesday.

Jace thanked his sponsors for the 2024 race season—Kuda Auto Repair, Graf & Son, Lovelace Carpet, Vandalia Grand Hotel, CE Grain, Flowers Fabrication, Schnitker Farms, Vandalia Car Quest, Jim Jerman Farms, Scott Jensen Auto Body, Ramsey Dickerman State Farm and special thanks to Craig Roden and Lloyd Fischer.
