Shoes from the Heart is a charitable organization that provides brand new tennis shoes to local children in need.
Their mission extends to supporting children within the community, region, and nation during times of need, regardless of race, creed, or religion. They believe in making a tangible impact in the lives of those facing unforeseen challenges by fulfilling a fundamental need we often take for granted: shoes.
Since 2012, with the ongoing support of regional communities and organizations, they have been expanding their reach across the U.S. to continue helping local children in need. Van-Far school received a shoe closet from the organization Shoes from the Heart. Shoes from the Heart partners with businesses, who sponsor the many shoe closets throughout school districts in Missouri. Its shoe closet has been made doable because of a partnership with Consolidated Electric Co-Op.
The shoe closet consists of 50 pairs of brand-new shoes in various sizes for both boys and girls.
