Willingham, interim GM

Carol Willingham, Manager of Finance and Accounting, has accepted the position of interim General Manager for Consolidated Electric Cooperative. Willingham will succeed Mike Fuller, who announced acceptance of the position to serve as CEO at Pee Dee Electric Cooperative, S.C.
Willingham will begin her duties as interim GM November 10, 2017.
“Mike has been an outstanding leader in our cooperative, our community, and beyond; and we will miss him. I feel honored to accept this interim position, and know that with our excellent team of employees, we will continue to work to provide the best service possible. I look forward to working with our members, employees, and community,” Carol said.
“The board of directors are happy to see Carol fill the interim GM role,” CEC Board President Dale Hopke said. “We are confident Willingham will keep the cooperative moving in a positive direction during this transition.”
Carol joined the CEC team in 1990. During her 27 years, she has worked as accountant, accounting supervisor, and is currently serving as Manager of Finance and Accounting. Prior to joining CEC, she worked for eight years in public accounting.
Willingham is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Carol and her husband Rodney have two children, son Curtis Willingham and wife Mandy; daughter Melanie Johns and husband Josh, and five grandchildren, Lilly, Owen, Harmon, Hayden, and Hallee.
