William “Lloyd” Crigler

William “Lloyd” Crigler, 95, of Vandalia, formerly of Paris, MO., passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Tri County Care Center in Vandalia, MO.

Mr. Crigler was born on Nov. 17, 1917, at Paris, MO, the son of Willie and Lucy Catherine Hannah Crigler.  He was first married to Kathleen DeOrnellis and she preceded him in death.  He then married Ruth Anderson on November 11, 1977, at Victor, MO and she survives at home.  He farmed all his life in Monroe County before moving to Vandalia, MO in 2004 and was a member of the Vandalia Bible Holiness Church.  Mr. Crigler served in the US Army during WW II from 1942 to 1946.

Mr. Crigler is survived by his wife, Ruth; 3 daughters, Sandra Carman of Onega, KS., Deborah Dougherty of Baylis, IL, and Donna Stevens of Centralia, MO; 3 step-children, John Anderson of Poplar Bluff, MO, Mike Anderson of Vandalia, MO and Evelyn Eagles of Rogers, AK; 8 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchldren; 11 great grandchildren; 43 step great-grandchildren; a brother, George Crigler of Stoutsville, MO and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen DeOrnellis Crigler, a sister, Mary Wells and two brothers, Ray and Ralph Crigler.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Agnew Funeral Home in Paris, MO, with Reverend Nathan Detmer officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, at Agnew Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vandalia Bible Holiness Church or Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
