Congratulations go to COI Judy Ellis for being selected as the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center’s Custody Employee of the Month for May 2012, having been nominated by Corrections Officer I Jacob Hubble.
She is being recognized for the compassion and concern she demonstrated on April 10, 2012 when she volunteered to accompany a co-worker to the hospital who became ill at work.
After failing to find an available PACT member to assist, she willingly gave her own time to follow the ambulance to the hospital and stay with her fellow officer until he was released and able to return to work at which time she drove him back to the institution.
Her willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty models a great example for others of teamwork and dedication to her fellow co-workers and the institution.
As Custody Employee of the Month, her name will be placed on the designated wall plaque.
The Personnel Club will present her with a monetary gift and a personalized plaque.
A parking space is identified and available for her exclusive use during the month of May 2012.
Congratulations also goes to Elizabeth Miller for being selected as the WERDCC’s Non-Custody Employee of the Month for May 2012, having been nominated by Policy and Procedures Coordinator, Teresa Wright, and Office Support Assistant Melissa Pharis.
She is being recognized for the professionalism she exhibits in the performance of her duties.
Her calm and quiet demeanor prevails even in stressful situations.
In handling highly sensitive and confidential information she makes every effort to handle it with care.
When there are calls for support for fundraisers she is willing to donate items.
Recently, when a co-worker was sick, she went to the store and delivered necessary items to her home.
Her sense of professionalism, volunteerism and integrity are certainly a good example for other staff and a benefit to the institution.
As Non-Custody Employee of the Month, her name will be placed on the designated wall plaque. The Personnel Club will present her with a monetary gift and a personalized plaque.
