Leah Nicole Johnson and Tyler William Powell were united in marriage on August 1, 2015.
Leah is the daughter of Bobby and Lisa Johnson, of Vandalia. Tyler is the son of Medonna Eitel Hull, of Moberly, Mo., and Jay Powell, of Columbia, Mo.
The ceremony took place on the Farber Ball Diamond with Bob Hoehn officiating.
The bridal party wore baseball jerseys in red and navy with the wedding date on the back of the jerseys.
Attendants for the bride were Brooke Johnson, sister of the bride, as maid of honor; Ciarra Johnson, high school friend, as bridesmaid; and Mali Jo Powell, daughter of the groom, as flower girl.
Attendants for the groom were Laton Melville, as best man; Jared Knazik, cousin of the groom, as groomsman; and Kason William Griffin, cousin of the bride, as ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Vandalia Fairgrounds with decorations carrying out the baseball theme and a buffet style dinner.
The baseball designed wedding cake was baked by Andrea Hutchinson and served by Medonna Hull, the groom’s mother, and Monica Knazik, the groom’s aunt.
Chris Sutton, Kyler Griffin, and Kady Griffin, cousins of the bride, were in charge of the gift table.
Grandparents of the bride are Joyce Johnson, and the late Raymond Johnson, of Vandalia, and Bill and Sondra Arndt, of Vandalia.
Grandparents of the groom are Red William and Anita Powell, of LaPlata, Mo.
The bride and groom are both employed by Dollar General Warehouse in Fulton and are making their home in Vandalia.
