On September 27, officers were dispatched to the Vandalia Police Department for a report of burglary. While the Officer was investigating the possible crime, several statements were made by the victim, Joni Weaver, 28, of Vandalia, which the officer found to be suspicious. After further conversation with Weaver, she stated she was in possession of narcotics inside her vehicle. The officer asked Weaver for consent to search her vehicle, which she consented to.
During the search, three separate types of controlled tablets were located and seized from the vehicle and from Weaver’s person.
Weaver was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Audrain County Jail, pending warrant application.
Weaver was out on bond for various narcotics related charges stemming from a separate investigation which had taken place no-more than two weeks ago. During that investigation she was found to be in possession of controlled tablets.
