The Board of Aldermen of the City of Farber met in regular session at City Hall at 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9 with the following members present: Mayor Hodde, Alderpersons Lynn Flowers, Ronald Greenplate, Gary Stubblefield and Marie Bounds, city clerk.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. The listing of Accounts Payable was presented and approved.
The Water and Sewer Budget was reviewed, motion made, seconded and carried to approve the Budget as presented. In order to meet the added expense of water passed on by Clarence Cannon Wholesale Water Commission a motion was made and seconded and carried to raise the water and sewer rates. The minimum bill for the first thousand gallons will increase from $28 to $30. Any additional thousand gallons used will increase from $4.60 to $5.
The City Clerk was given permission to destroy records for the fiscal year 2005-2006 that do not need to be kept permanently.
Chief Ray reported that every one receiving a letter to remove unlicensed vehicles from their property have complied or are in the process of complying. He also said he should be receiving the equipment from the grant money this month.
