Janet Turner
Janet Turner has lived in Vandalia all of her life.
She’s married to Ronald Turner and the couple has twin daughters, Katrina and Kayla.
Katrina graduated in 2003 from Van-Far and Kayla still lives in Vandalia.
Turner retired from Harbison-Walker in December 2013 after 39 years, three months, and 21 days.
Her parents are Ida and Kenneth Weiser.
Vision: “I’ve been a lifer. I’m just trying to make our town a better town for anyone wanting to come live in…I just want to make it more presentable for others to want to come here and live here…I really worry about it.”
As far as violence, it’s peaceful and quiet.
Larry Holt
Larry Holt has been serving as an alderman since 2004.
He’s a lifelong resident of Vandalia.
Holt is married to Joyce, and the couple has two boys (Jason and Tony), and one daughter (Melissa Moser). All three children are graduates of Van-Far.
Vision: “Trying to make things better…I’m hoping we get things better….That’s our goal and I’m pretty hot on doing something about these drugs. And cleaning up things around here. It takes a long time to get that done. It’s quite an ordeal to get people to clean up.”
