Wanda Jean “Jeanie” Witte, age 78, passed away on August 1, 2013 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Pitman Funeral Home, Inc. located in Jonesburg, Mo.
A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 4 at the United Church of Christ in High Hill, Mo.
Burial was in the Jonesburg City Cemetery.
Wanda Jean “Jeanie” Witte was born on December 9, 1934 in Jonesburg, Mo.
Her occupation was child care.
She was a member of First United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City. Jeanie enjoyed following the St. Louis Cardinals, Missouri Tigers, and Montgomery R-2 Wildcats. She collected owls and buttons.
She was preceded in death by her father Emil D. Garrett; mother Nora Mae Garrett nee Benney; husband Herman C. Witte Jr.; infant brother Bobby Garrett; brother Donald (Martha) Garrett; brother Karl  Garrett; sister Margaret (Bill) Wescott; brother-in-law Donald Witte.
She is survived by her son, Terry L. (Linda) Witte of Vandalia, Mo.; son Kerry D. (Karen) Witte of Waynesburg, Pa.; daughter Linda F. (Roger) Hans of Jonesburg, Mo.; daughter Lisa G. (Gene) Tuma of Wellsville, Mo.; brother Lawrence R. “Pepper”  (Ruthie) Garrett of Jonesburg, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Carol Witte of Jonesburg, Mo.; many nieces and nephews.
