North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) President and Chief Executive Officer Don Patrick has announced the hiring of Sara Waggoner, of Vandalia, as Administrative Assistant for Housing Development.
NECAC is a 12-county area not-for-profit social service, community health and public housing Community Action Agency. NECAC contracts with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for profit organizations to operate and administer self-sufficiency service programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population. The agency’s Central Administration Offices are located in Bowling Green, with NECAC Service Centers operated in each county.
In her new job, Waggoner will work under the direction of NECAC Deputy Director for Housing Development Carla Potts to assist tenants and clients with housing issues, work on special projects, attend regional meetings, schedule seminars and help in the grant process.
“We welcome Sara to the NECAC team,” Patrick said. “She will be a vital part of an expanding department.”
“I like working at NECAC because we help people better their lives,” Waggoner said.
Waggoner is a 2010 graduate of Marshall High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville in 2014. She is a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross.
