The Village of Rush Hill Board of Trustees met April 14 with Board Chairperson Connie L. Rutherford calling the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Other trustees present were Kathy Taylor, Wes Foreman, Lewis Nihiser, and Kay Foreman. Dean Mackey and Mike Taylor were guests.
Clerk Kay Foreman administered the oath of office to Connie Rutherford, Wes Foreman, and Lewis Nihiser. Following the oath, Connie Rutherford and Kay Foreman were nominated to remain as Chairperson and Clerk.
The board approved the March financial statement and April bills payable.
The board approved mowing the lots at the old Community Center and mosquito spraying to JoAnn Mackey.
The board approved having Mike Taylor mow the railroad right-of-way.
The board approved resuming Dust Control for this year. Kay Foreman will contact Cobb Dust Control.
There was a discussion on the problem with the vicious dogs that were running lose in town.
Chairperson will contact S&R Animal Control.
The City Clerk will make an appointment to meet with the village lawyer, Andrew Garnett. Will discuss if changes need to be made to the town’s ordinances to solve this problem.
