A church service was held in the chapel on Sunday morning. In the afternoon, a Methodist service was held with communion in the chapel. Monday morning, residents enjoyed trivia and in the afternoon V.F.W Post and Auxiliary No. 4088 from Perry sponsored a bingo game for the residents. “Remembering our Fallen” display at the Mark Twain Visitors Center was the attraction on Tuesday morning for the Veterans. In the afternoon, residents were entertained by Elvis in the dining room which was sponsored by the Washington American Legion No. 218. In the evening, a Bible study was held in the chapel. A card game was held on Wednesday morning and in the afternoon residents enjoyed an ice cream sundae with their buddy. Buck hunting was held in the activity room that evening. Bingo, pool and shuffleboard were the highlights on Thursday morning followed by Catholic communion in the chapel. In the afternoon, card players gathered for a game of Pitch. Brooke Evans was recognized as the Employee of the Month at a reception on Friday morning. Everyone enjoyed music provided by Audrey Stevens in the afternoon. Front Porch Pickers entertained everyone on Saturday afternoon.
Brooke Evans, C.N.A. was recognized as the February 2012 Employee of the Month. Brooke has been an employee at the facility since July 2008. Congratulations, Brooke!!
“Call for Volunteer” – We are looking for a volunteer that could play the piano during a church service on Sunday morning from 9 – 9:30 in the chapel at the facility. Any interested person, please contact Stacie Smithee, Director of Social Services at 573-581-1088 ext. 1265.
The next Amateur Radio Club meeting will be at the facility on Tuesday, February 21 at 7 p.m. Come and give your support to the men who gave so much to this country. Alzheimer Support Group will meet on Wednesday, March 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the facility. The public is welcome.
