Highlights from the week
A church service was held in the chapel on Sunday morning.
The card players gathered for a game of “Pass the Trash” on Monday morning and in the afternoon a game of Mexican Train Dominos was played.
On Tuesday morning a group loaded the bus and headed to Hannibal to the Riverboat for a lunch cruise. A Bible study was held in the afternoon.
“High/Low” was the entertainment for the card players on Wednesday morning and then some of the Veterans went to the Monetary Awards Program at the Elks Lodge.  The Veterans Council was held in the afternoon followed by entertainment by the “Mexico Hot Steppers.”
Bingo and pool were the highlights on Thursday morning and another group gathered in the activity room for painting classes.  Caramel apples were served to everyone that afternoon and in the evening a smoked supper was prepared in the activity room.
A card game was provided on Friday morning and in the afternoon Catholic communion was held in the chapel.  Saturday morning a group travelled to Martinsburg for the Wing Ding Contest and also the VFW Post & Auxiliary No. 2657 from Fulton sponsored a Bingo game in the afternoon.
The Alzheimer Support Group will meet on Wednesday, November 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the facility.  The public is welcome to attend.
Alzheimer Week will be observed at the facility from October 20-24 with special activities each day throughout the week for the residents.
Friday, October 24th a Potato Bar Fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The meal will include a big baked potato loaded with your choice of toppings, cookie and drink all for $5.
For delivery you can call 581-1088 ext. 1250 by 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 23.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the new Family Room and special equipment for the Dementia Unit.
Volunteers are needed to assist with hydration on our Special Needs Unit.
