Vandalia voters approve transfer of transmission line / Audrain County April 6 ballot results

Vandalia voters approved their question with 83 percent of the vote, transferring the city’s transmission line to the Central Electric Power Cooperative. 

Other Audrain County Aug. 6, 2021 Unofficial Election Results:

There were 1,737 ballots cast out of 14,982 registered voters in Audrain County for an 11.59% turnout.

Audrain County voters approved Prop 1, a quarter-cent sales tax for roads and bridges, with nearly 71 percent of the vote. 

In the race for Laddonia mayor, Gary Garnett received 68 votes to Glenn Jensen’s 40. There were six write-in votes.

Farber Mayor: In the race for Farber mayor, Steven (Tony) Shade ran unopposed. There were 19 write-in votes.

Audrain Health Board of Trustees: Jessica Johnson Ekern and Darla Eggers were elected to the county health board.
