The baseball team, the “Hannibal Hoots,” are hosting “Vandalia Night at the ballpark” on Monday, June 4 at Clemens Field in Hannibal.
The game begins at 6:30 p.m. and will include a special celebration of the Van-Far state championship basketball, cheerleading, and track and field athletes.
Three of the local youth baseball teams will also take the field during the “National Anthem” while standing beside the Hoots team players at their position.
The Hannibal Hoots, a new Prospect League team, play in the their West Division with Danville (Ill.), Lafayette (Ind.), Quincy (Ill.), Springfield (Ill.), and Terre Haute (Ind.).
Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $6 for students with ID and seniors, while those under 5 get in for free.
Deck seating is available for those with a lawn chair for an additional $2 behind home plate.
