Vandalia man turns himself in

On February 11, Jose Allen Ramirez III, age 46, of Vandalia, turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office and was officially charged on 12 February.
Ramirez was charged by Pike County Prosecutor Mark Fisher with a class D felony of resisting arrest and a class D felony of driving while revoked with three previous convictions for driving while revoked.
The honorable Judge David Ash set bond at $10,000 cash only.
These charges are the result of a pursuit with Sheriff’s deputies on the evening of February 9. A deputy attempted to stop Ramirez’s vehicle on Highway Y, southwest of Bowling Green after it failed to maintain his lane of traffic.
Ramirez led deputies at speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour out Highway Y to Pike 477 then on to Pike roads 480, 466, 481, 486, 485, 484, and 483.
The car then crossed over Highway 54 onto Highway E. This is where deputies terminated their pursuit.
All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent till proven guilty in a court of law.
