Vandalia Chamber meets

The Vandalia Area Chamber of Commerce met on Tuesday, June 9, for a noon meeting at the Spare Time Bowl and Grill.
Those present were Brandon Straube, President; Micah Trower-Vice President; Kyle Fischer, Treasurer; Karen Shaw, Secretary; Penny Kampeter, Kenny Thurman, Cami Blackman, and Ramsey Dieckerman.
President Straube called the meeting to order.
The minutes from the meeting held on May 12, were reviewed.  Blackman moved to approve the minutes. Fischer seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
The treasurer’s report was presented by Fischer.  Kampeter moved to approve the report and  Thurman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
Old Business
Music on Main was discussed.   The May 28 event was rained out after an hour of music by Riverside.
New Business
The next music event on June 25 was discussed.
Streets to be blocked off were mapped and given to Shaw to pass on to the City Street Department.
Food sales ideas for the events were discussed. More workers will be needed on this date due to an expected large crown.
A special meeting is needed on the Tuesday before the event to finalize plans. Having no further business to discuss, Kampeter moved to adjourn.  Dieckerman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
Shaw gave members a link for a survey for Entrepreneurship Survey for those interested in participating, which was sent to us by Robin Simpson, Director of the Mark Twain Regional Council of Governments in Perry.
