Van-Far’s Parents as Teachers hosted a Group Connection event with the theme “Stranger Danger” on Thursday, February 25 at 6:30 at the Van-Far Elementary School.
Representatives of the Audrain Sheriff’s Department, the Vandalia Police Department, the Van-Far Ambulance, Rescue Dogs, and the Sons of Light Masonic Riding Organization participated in the event.
Students attending the event received a list of safety tips and a Child ID, which was provided by the Audrain County Sheriff’s Department.
They also enjoyed the student Lighthouse team acting out the story of “Little Red Riding Hood,” which taught them how she could have made better choices.
