Van-Far’s boys and girls track and field teams recently enjoyed success at two meets in three days in Louisiana.
In the Louisiana Invitational on April 28, the Indians scored 119 team points for second place overall.
Sharrod Connor won the 100 meters in 11.92 seconds and won the 200 meters in 23.79 seconds. He also took second in the long jump and third in the triple jump.
Lathyn McMorris won the 1,600 meters race in 4:52.10 and won the 3,200 meters in 10:56.22.
The 4×100-meter relay team of Joseph Clithero, Andrew Snodgrass, Colten Jensen, and Alex Flowers were second.
Kyle Ebers, Trey Atkinson, Lucas Robinson, and Andrew Snodgrass took second in the 4×200-meter relay race.
Cole Grimes, Nick Carpenter, Ebers, and Jensen were third in the 4×800 event.
Jacob Garner tied for third with Conner Albrecht in the pole vault and was also third in the high jump. Nick Barnes was fourth in the high jump.
In the discuss, Snodgrass was third and Ebers was seventh.
Snodgrass placed sixth in the shot put while Flowers was seventh, and Grimes was eighth.
Atkinson was third in the 110-meter hurdles and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Carpenter was third in the 3,200 and sixth in the 1,600.
Jensen was seventh in the 800 meters and Ebers took eighth in the same event.
Albrecht was second and Parker Wallace was fourth in the 400 meters. Wallace also took seventh in the 100 meters.
The Lady Indians scored 50 team points for third place overall.
Abbegail Robinson was second in the long jump, second in the 200 meters, and third in the 100 meters. She also teamed with Alexis DeTienne, Madison Orr, and Taryn Adam to help the 4×200-meter relay team take second.
Adam was second in the 3,200 meters and fourth in the 400 meters.
Laura Krautkraemer took third in both the 1,600- and 3,200 meters.
Orr was fifth in both the 100 meters and 200 meters.
DeTienne placed eighth in the 100 meters.
Jayda Borgmeyer took third in the shot put and fifth in the discus.
Abilene Gatson was third in the high jump and fifth in the triple jump.
The Van-Far boys team took second in the rescheduled Cunningham Invitational two days later with 113.5 points.
Connor won the 100 meters in 11.88 seconds, won the 200 meters in 24.19 seconds, and took second in the long jump.
Michael Colson was third in the shot put and eighth in the discuss.
Snodgrass was second in the discus with a toss of 107’11”.
Barnes took second in the high jump.
He also teamed with Joseph Clithero, Robinson, and Albrecht to take third in the 4×100.
Albrecht, Barnes, Wallace, and Garner were second in the 4×200.
The 4×400-meter relay team of Wallace, Barnes, Albrecht, and Garner were second.
Carpenter, Ebers, Grimes, and Jensen were fourth in the 4×800.
Garner was third in the high jump and sixth in the pole vault. Albrecht took seventh in the pole vault.
Josh Hodde was fifth in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump.
He was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles and fifth in the 110-meter hurdles.
Clithero took fifth in the 100 meters.
Robinson was fifth in the 200 meters.
Albrecht was also third in the 400 meters while Wallace was fourth.
Jensen took fifth in the 800 meters.
Carpenter was fifth in the 3,200 meters and eighth in the 1,600 meters.

Robinson won the long jump with a leap of 14’10.5” She was also second in the triple jump and fifth in the 100 meters.
She teamed with Orr, Adam, and DeTienne for fourth in the 4×400.
She teamed with DeTienne, Gatson, and Adam for third in the 4×200.
Borgmeyer was fourth in both the shot put and discus.
Gatson was second in the triple jump and third in the high jump.
Krautkraemer was third in the 3,200 meters and sixth in the 1,600 meters.
Adam was fourth in the 1,600 meters.
DeTienne took sixth in the 400 meters.
Orr was eighth in the 100 meters.
