Van-Far Marching Band holds special review concert

The Van-Far Chiefs Marching Band held “A Marching Year in Review 2016” Concert last week at Van-Far Jr./Sr. High School. The event was opened with the National Anthem. A three-part tribute to the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson followed. Songs included “Beat It,” “Bad” featuring Tyler Robinson on the trombone, and “Thriller.”
A set called “JH Night: Road Trip! (World Series) followed. Songs included “25 or 6 to 4-Chicago,” representing the Chicago Cubs. “Cleveland Rocks!-Presidents of the United States of America” was performed, representing the Cleveland Indians.
Following awards from the seniors, “Senior Night: Queens of Pop” included the songs “Call Me Maybe” and “Die Young.” “Stand Tunes” ended the evening. This set included “We Found Love/Super Bass,” “4 Minutes,” “Dirty Little Secret,” “Carry On My Wayward,” “Don’t Stop Belivin’,” and “Fight Song-Van-Far!”
