The Van-Far R-I School District held an Open House last Wednesday to show area residents the quality improvements made at Van-Far Elementary School during the past two years. Elementary students greeted guests at the newly remodeled and secure main entrance. They viewed the new bathrooms, early childhood education classroom, remodeled classes, and saw that the former pod system had been completely removed. Most of the Van-Far Board of Education board members, Van-Far Elementary Principal Brian Hummel, Van-Far Superintendent Dr. Stephen Hunter, and several teachers were present for the event. Architect Joe Berendzen also attended.
