With the 2013 fall sports season in the books, Van-Far High School coaches honored their team members at the Fall Athletic Awards program on Thursday, November 14.
Athletic Director Holly Jungers opened by welcoming family and friends, and thanked everyone for the flowers, cards, text messages, and e-mails that were sent to her while she was in the hospital.
Head Football Coach Blake Logan and assistant coach Chris Straube handed out recognitions and presented players with special awards.

“I knew the first week I got here, that it was going to be one of the toughest years based on a lack of numbers. Opposing coaches after the games would come and express their respect for the team. Everyone showed heart throughout the season. Although the record doesn’t show it, these guys grew a lot this year. With many youngsters coming back, these guys have a very bright future,” said head coach Blake Logan.

“This year’s team finished with a 9-10 record. If you take out the tournaments, we had a darn good year. We were 1-6 in tournaments. According to math, we had a good regular season record. So maybe we shouldn’t play so many tournaments,” said head coach Wes Rowden.
