Van-Far celebrates with Homecoming Week

A full list of Homecoming Week activities are scheduled for Van-Far between September 21-25 leading up to the football game against rival Bowling Green.
Dress-Up Days began on Monday and last through the end of the week.
The days include: Monday – Mardi Gras (wear green, purple and gold); Tuesday – Twin Day; Wednesday – Switcheroo; Thursday – Black and Gold; and Friday – Class Colors.
There will be Class Banners hung up at local businesses on Wednesday. A Pep Assembly will be held at the high school.
Also on Wednesday, there is a Powder Puff Game between the senior and junior girls from Van-Far and Community R-VI.  The football players will be the cheerleaders.
It starts at 6 p.m. and there is a donation cost of $2 for adults and $1 for students/children that will go to St. Jude’s Cancer Research.
On Friday, the Homecoming Parade will begin at 4 p.m. from the South School Park and proceed down Main Street, turning left at the four way stop.
At the football game that evening at 7 p.m, results from the class competitions will be announced.
Floats will be on display and the Homecoming Queen and King will be crowned during halftime.
