The Vandalia Area Historical Society welcomed several area residents this past Sunday as the museum featured art projects from many talented local artists.
The exhibit included paintings, artwork along with projects in oil, watercolor, pencil, charcoal, fabric, jewelry, and wood. This event also featured a presentation from Mare Prosso, who shard the story of her mother and little sisters harrowing escape from Estonia to Germany to America in WWII. The determination of this lady to keep her family alive and free from the invading armies is heart rendering. Most of the artwork will remain on display at the museum for some time.
