Coordinated by the Audrain County Health Department, more than 20 agencies were involved in delivering 2,167 doses of the Pfizer vaccine on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Mexico Area Family YMCA. Thanks to an alphabetized schedule throughout the day, eligible individuals were able to arrive and get their vaccinations in less than 5-10 minutes on average plus a 15-minute observation period. Members of the Missouri Air National Guard assisted with logistics. This was a follow-up to the first dose that the ill and the elderly received on Jan. 29 at the Mexico Memorial Airport.
