Trojans run into Bobcats and pick up 30-point loss

The Community R-VI Trojans ran into a tough Bowling Green program at home last week and were unable to get anything going in a 65-35 loss.
The loss dropped their record to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the EMO Conference.
“They out-muscled us all night,” said Community R-VI head coach Matt Thomas about his team’s game with the Bobcats. “We just couldn’t get anything going offensively. Defensively, we had a hard time getting stops. We gave up a lot of offensive rebounds, which you just cannot do.”
Community R-VI only scored six points in the first quarter behind Cordell Hollensteiner’s two 3-pointers.
Cadin Escamilla scored five of the team’s six points in the second quarter as the Trojans had just 12 total points at halftime.
Community R-VI only had 23 more points in the second half of the 30-point loss.
s finished with 14 points, one rebound, and one assist while Cadin Escamilla added 12 points and one rebound.
Adam Hombs had four points and one rebound; Eric Hombs scored two points and two rebounds; Danny Kuda chipped in two points and one assist; Phillip Doms added one point; Klayton Bosworth had one rebound and one assist; while Blaze Escamilla added one rebound.
