Monday, Dec. 5
Residents enjoyed three games of basketball at 10 a.m. They were assisted by the staff. At 1:30 p.m. exercises were held with Patti Ingram, assisted by Kassie Scott.
Tuesday, Dec. 6
Exercises were held at 10 a.m. with Kassie Scott.
Wednesday, Dec. 7
The Vandalia Leader was read by Patsy Clithero at 10 a.m.
Residents enjoyed eating homemade Christmas cookies and drinking juice or soda. A large crowd was in attendance.
At 6 p.m. the Farber Baptist Church sang Christmas carols in the hall.
Thursday, Dec. 8
The Second Christian Church ladies held their monthly devotional program at 10 a.m. with Joann Cockrell, Inez McPike, Lillian Johnson, Virgie Overton and Katherine Salmon. They brought fresh fruit for the residents.
At 1:30 p.m. resident council was held for December with assistance of Paula McCurdy, Kassie Scott and Davaline Overton.
Friday, Dec. 9
The residents from East and West Hall enjoyed Christmas music. Amanda Hawkins assisted in the activity.
Residents from the West Hall enjoyed working on the quilt. They were assisted by Ann Evans and Anna Soey. Volunteer, Jewel Hammett, came out to help the ladies.
Trivia was enjoyed by residents at 1:30 p.m. They were assisted by Angela Smith, Christina Steirlyn, Amanda Hawkins, Patricia Conway and Davaline Overton. A very large crowd was in attendance.
Helen Grimmett celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends at 6 p.m. A large crowd came out to wish her a Happy Birthday!
Saturday, Dec. 10
Residents enjoyed a Snack Walk at 1:30 p.m. They were assisted by Kitty McCurdy and Kassie Scott.
Sunday, Dec. 11
The Second Christian Church held the worship services. Next week St. John Lutheran will be in charge of services.
Donations were received for the Activity Department from Shirley Forgy, Joann Green, Ann Burnes, Juanita Carr and Vernelle Hull.
