On Valentine’s Day at the Tri-County Care Center was a crowning success this year with more than 75 people in attendance. Activities Director Daveline Overton opened the festivities introducing the king and queen of each unit.
Those crowned include King James Day and Queen Ruth Humphrey (Special Care Unit); King Walter Dixon and Queen Mary Young (East Hall); and King Wendell Stewart and Queen June Allen (West Hall).
Bethany Graver was the emcee for the event and she introduced those who performed.
“Dancing in the Dark” by Ed Sheeran was played and the mascot “Heart” danced with both Jackie Branstetter and Ruth Palmer during the song.
Among the entertainment, some songs were performed by employees.
Resident Mike McCelland sang several songs.
Among his selections were “Burning Love,” “Falling In Love With You,” and “Don’t be Cruel” by Elvis Presley. He ended his set by singing “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait.
