This week is Thank a Farmer Week, a time to celebrate the abundance of food, fuel and fiber produced by the American farmer.
Members of the Audrain County Commission and the Audrain County Board for the Missouri Farm Bureau, along with members of the Audrain Co. R-VI FFA Chapter, met at the county courthouse on Monday, March 1, to celebrate the signing of a proclamation.
“We used to raise livestock, my dad and I farmed together, so this is always an important time to remember that our food doesn’t come from Moser’s or Wal-Mart or Hy-Vee. These [FFA students] and their families are the ones who produce it,’ said Presiding Commissioner Steve Hobbs.
