Community R-VI senior Annelissa Taylor recently shined on stage during a March 3 production of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest,” held at MMA in Mexico.

Annelissa Taylor, a senior at Community R-VI, gave what was considered by many as an outstanding performance in her sixth and final appearance as a MMA Dramateers Diva in the May 3, 2012 performance of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest.”
Annelissa had the leading female role of Miss Cecily Cardew in the play. Annelissa became a member of an elite group when MMA broke tradition at the Fall 2011 play performance and awarded her the first MMA Drama Letter for female participants.
In order to letter, performers must participate in five plays.
Playing the lead male role of Mr. John “Jack” Worthington was Eoghan Matthews, MMA cadet.
Annelissa is the daughter of Joanna  Schwartz of Martinsburg. In addition to taking numerous ITV and other college classes, Annelissa participates in and teaches Taekwondon. Annelissa  also enjoys creative photography, playing the guitar and drawing. Her future plans include attending either UNKC or Drury University with a major in education focusing on English, International Business or Public Relations.  She plans to minor in theater and/or a foreign language.
