Communicable Disease Coordinator Katie Swaim, RN, BSN, CPN, will add special projects manager to her duties at the Audrain County Health Department health department.
“I’m pleased to announce this well-deserved promotion for Katie,” said ACHD Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Craig Brace. “She has proven over the years since I’ve been at ACHD that she is a well-qualified leader and able to handle multiple tasks when needed to do so.”
As special projects manager, Swaim will take the lead in managing several special projects across the organization. She will lead and manage critical initiatives and projects that are strategically important to the ACHD and residents of Audrain County. Her new role is to plan, execute, and deliver these projects successfully, ensuring they align with our mission, promise and culture. Swaim will also oversee the front desk and the ACHD personnel that work there, ensuring ACHD is following its client-first care culture.
Swaim will also become an advocate for positive change, process improvements and program innovation. She will also proactively identify quality improvement initiatives and develop action plans to improve and maintain the overall quality of clinical services and processes.
“I’m honored to be given this opportunity,” Swaim said.
“Katie will be looked upon to help ACHD forge ahead into the coming years through initiatives and programs that will align with our Three P mission of Promote, Protect and Prevent,” said Becky Wieberg, RN, clinical services manager. “I look forward to working with her in this new role helping ACHD progress with public health services for the residents of Audrain County.”
Brace added that Swaim will continue in her role as the ACHD’s communicable disease coordinator.
