Students tour fisheries and alpaca ranch

On Tuesday, June 17, Ralls County Soil and Water Conservation District, (SWCD) sponsored a field trip for Ralls RII Pre-K through 2nd grade to Curryville Fisheries.
Mr. Ted Werenski allowed students to learn casting and he explained the steps taken to raise fish for the market.
The annual field trips are for summer school students.
Following the Fisheries tour, students were treated to a tour at Mrs. Anita Martin’s Starlight Alpaca Ranch.
Snacks and drinks were provided by Ralls County Farm Bureau Insurance, General Mills, Hickman’s IGA and Ruba’s General Store.
