Staff honored at R-VI board meeting

Special Teacher Recognition Awards were given to Vickie Briggs and Karen Scott.

The Community R-VI School District recognized two staff members for their years of service during their monthly meeting held on Wednesday, May 21.
Board President Andrew Fairchild presented clocks to Karen Scott and Vicki Briggs in honor of their retirement. Years of Service award certificates were given to staff members who have been employed five, ten and fifteen years at Community R-VI.
Mary Thomas presented the Parents as Teachers Report.
The board voted to adopt the 2014-2015 Preschool Sliding Scale.
L.J. Hart is working on the Lease/Purchase Agreement.
The board voted to approve the Addendum agreement between CTS and Community R-VI.
Mrs. Mack went over the Transportation, Transportation Maintenance and Opaa! Food Service Management Reports. Mrs. Mack gave a Budget and Legislative Update.
Mrs. Mack went over a preliminary schedule from CTS as to when work will begin. Mrs.  Mack stated she would be working with Food Service and Opaa! on an application for an Equipment Grant for a new dishwasher in the lunch room.
Mrs. Gibson shared the Elementary Attendance, Math Fluency and PBIS data.
Mr. Marshall shared the Secondary Attendance and PBIS data.
Bob Curtis shared some information regarding volleyball vs. softball since they would be during the same time.
Mrs. Mack said a poll could be done to see how much participation there would be at a later time.
At 7:50 p.m., the Board voted to move into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel.
The Board voted to approve the April 16, 2014 executive session minutes.
The Board voted to hire Brandon Talbott as the ISS/ITV Teacher.
