A Special Board of Trustees meeting was held at 11 a.m. on April 16 in the Administrative Conference Room.
Those present were Bill Dubbert, Chairman; Sterling Oliver, Vice-Chairman; Jo Ellen Craghead, Secretary; Peter Perll, M.D., member, and Sarah Dickherber, member. Staff attending were David Neuendorf, President/CEO; Kari Wilson, Vice-President of Clinical Services/COO/CNO; and Renae Rowe, Executive Assistant.
Dubbert welcomed Sarah Dickherber as a new member of the Board of Trustees.
Dubbert discussed the need to elect enw officers and entertained a motion for the Chairman nominations.
Trustees appointed as signatories for Corporate Bank Resolution include the Chairman, vice Chairman, and Treasurer.
Dubbert, Oliver, and Dr. Perll were appointed as signators on the bank accounts for the Corporate Bank Resolution.
The Special Board of Trustees meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
The Board of Trustees were called to order at 11:06 a.m. with the same attendees as above and approved the minutes from the March 26 meeting.
Craghead presented the April Trustee Inspection Report. She reported that she, David Neuendorf, and David Schulte toured the areas where the electric panels exist throughout the hospital. Some of the panels date back to 1950.
There are about 40 electrical panels in the hospital and 15 have to be replaced. This project will cost about $150,000 to complete.
A trustee orientation was held with Sarah Dickherber going over the structure and process of the Board of Trustees.
The hospital and clinics had a very strong first quarter financially.
The linear accelerator in the cancer center went back on line in March and is fully operational.
Neuendorf is retiring on Friday, April 24. A national search firm will be in Mexico on April 20 to help find a replacement.
Audrain’s new electronic health record system is going to go live on June 6.
Audrain plans to add two new services by year end: cardiac scoring and lung cancer screening.
Neuendorf expressed gratitude to the Trustees for their hard work and support during his tenure at Audrain.
The board discussed and approved moving the November trustee meeting from November 26 to November 19 and the December meeting from December 24 to December 17.
Administration will contact Trustees ahead of time to schedule the 2015 Trustee Inspection Schedule. Dubbert asked the Trustees to complete the Conflict of Interest Statements and turn them into Renae Rowe.
Neuendorf reviewed the March Audrain county Hospital financials.
