On December 17, the Vandalia Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of Union Street and Clark Street on a vehicle that was going over the posted speed limit. The vehicle failed to yield to the emergency vehicle when the lights and sirens were utilized.
The vehicle stopped at a residence on Union Street where officers made contact with and identified the driver as Cy J. Walden, 25, of Greenfield, Ill., Walden became argumentative and verbally aggressive towards the officers and was placed under arrest.
Walden was transported to the Vandalia Police Department where he was photographed, fingerprinted, and charged with disorderly conduct, speeding (52 m.p.h. in a 40 m.p.h. zone), and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Walden later posted bond and was released with a date to appear in Vandalia Municipal Court.
Eoff III arrested
The Vandalia Police Department responded to the 600 block of West Washington Street for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officers arrived on scene and after speaking with the reported victim and witnesses, officers placed Jules E. Eoff III, 37, of Vandalia, under arrest.
Eoff was transported to the Vandalia Police Department and charged with domestic assault 3rd degree, resisting or interfering with arrest, and violation of a protection order.
Eoff was later transported to the Audrain County Jail where he was given the opportunity to post bond.
Kelley arrested in New London
Ralls County Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie announced that a search warrant was executed on December 15 for 501 E. 3rd Street in New London.
During the search warrant, deputies located and seized cocaine, Methamphetamine, possible Heroin, marijuana, and a substantial amount of cash.
Arrested at the scene was Jayme Nicole Kelley, age 27. Kelley is charged with endangering the welfare of a child Creating Substantial Risk, 1st Degree, a Class C Felony.
Kelley was being held in the Marion County Jail with a $50,000 cash only bond.
There were also additional charges pending on William Edward Dorsey, age 40, from this search warrant.
The Ralls County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the New London Police Department, the Pike County Sheriff’s office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Horton arrested for possession
On December 11, the Vandalia Police Department responded to a report of a verbal altercation at a local business.
After speaking to the reporting party and obtaining information, the officer located a subject involved for questioning.
The officer observed Rebecca Horton, age 51, of Vandalia, operating a vehicle in a careless manner. After making contact with Horton, she was found to be in possession of an illegal controlled substance. Horton was placed under arrest and transported to the Vandalia Police Department where she was fingerprinted, photographed, and charged with possession of marijuana under 35 grams. Horton was later released with summons and given a date to appear in the Vandalia Municipal Court.
Three busted in Ralls Co.
New London Police Chief Brad Sanders reported that after a lengthy investigation by the New London Police Department, the Ralls County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, three subjects were arrested on Felony Warrants for Delivery and Manufacture of a controlled substance.
Those arrested are William E. Dorsey, age 40; Mitchell Drew, age 51; and Torrell L. Hawkins Jr., age 20.
All three men are from New London and were taken to the Pike and Marion County jails with $50,000 cash only bonds.
The charges were filed by the Ralls County Prosecuting Attorney Rodney Rodenbaugh, and warrants were issued by Judge David Mobley.
