Sawed off shotgun, meth found in Vandalia arrests

During the evening hours of June 21, 2017, the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by the Vandalia Police Department, Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol served a search warrant in the 600 block of W Highway 54, in Vandalia, Audrain County, Missouri. As a result of the search warrant officers arrested two (2) suspects and seized methamphetamine, marijuana, a sawed off shotgun, and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested:
1. Kyhl McCurdy, age 31 of Vandalia for Distribution of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Maintaining a Public Nuisance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

2. Michael R. Trower, age 33 of Vandalia for Possession of Marijuana, Distribution of Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Public Nuisance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The East Central Drug Task Force was organized in 2001 and serves the cities of Bowling Green, Fayette, High Hill, Mexico, Montgomery City, New Florence, Vandalia and Warrenton, the counties of Audrain, Cooper, Howard, Montgomery, Pike and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
