Roy Caldwell

Roy Caldwell of Pottsboro, Texas formerly of the Vandalia and Frankford area passed away at the Dallas, Texas VA on May 28, 2012 at the age of 73. Services were held June 1, 2012 in Denison, Texas with interment in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas, Military Honors were accorded.
Roy was born to Hugh Ramsey and Alta Ellen Caldwell on June 9, 1938 in Vandalia, Mo.
Before retirement, Roy worked at Electric Wheel in Quincy, Ill., Preston Trash Service and IESI in Texas.
Roy married Joyce Kent in New London, Mo. in 1981. She survives him.
He is also survived by son, Douglas (Lori) of Monroe City, Mo., daughter, Renita Phillips of Kansas City, Mo., daughter Carla Buchanan of Lefors, Texas, son, Roger Kuntz and daughter, Lori Davis both of Pottsboro, Texas, brother Harry Caldwell of Cisne, Ill, Sister Maxine McDannold of Two Harbors, Minn., sisters, Donna, Karen and Sharon Caldwell of Vandalia, Mo., 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lew, H.R. and Ray and by sisters, Mary Mae, Winnie and Agnes.
