Robert A. Paul, Jr., 65, of Fish Lake, passed away peacefully at 4:10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept.  25, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital.
He was born July 6, 1948, in Chicago, Ill., to Robert A. and M. Pauline (Iddins) Paul, Sr.
Bob graduated from Merrillville High School, class of 1966.  After which, he graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree. Bob worked in several foundries in the La Porte area, including Alcoa/Howmet.  He retired from Williams International, Ogden, UT.  Bob was a member of the Sons of American Legion, Post 400, Fish Lake, the VFW Men’s Auxiliary Post 1954, North Liberty, and the FOE of La Porte.
Bob married Linda M. (Skomp) Nuff on Sept. 1, 1970.  They raised four sons together and later divorced.  He married Frances L. (Gillum) Mangus on Sept. 27, 1996 in Bowling Green, who survives.
Also surviving are his father, Robert Paul Sr. of Michigan City; four sons, David (Lisa) of Louisville, Ky., Christopher (Susan) of Carmel, Ind., Robert Paul, III of Laughlin, Nev., and Michael (Tammy) of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one step son, Scott (Alana) Mangus of South Bend, Ind.; one sister, Sherry (Samual) Rebich of Valparaiso, Ind.; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and his ex-wife, Linda M. (Ray) Pittman of La Porte.
Preceding in death was his mother, M. Pauline Paul, Nov. 3, 2012.
A memorial dinner was held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at the American Legion Post 400, 302 Lakeside Drive, Fish Lake, Ind., for family and friends.  Per his wishes, Bob will be cremated.  There will be no services.  Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte (219) 362-3100 is caring for the cremation services.
