Robert Lewis Kurz,  82, passed away Jan. 13, 2014 after a six year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
“Bob” was the youngest son of Harry and Carmen Kurz; and brother to Harry Paul, Charles, Mary Ellen, and Peggy.  After growing up in the Bowling Green area, he served in the US Air Force for four years.
Upon discharge from the military, he joined his family, who had relocated to Southern California.
He married Mickalina Cuccia in 1958. They made a home with their two sons in La Mirada, Calif.
Kurz worked in the refrigeration industry for both The Coca Cola Company and Manitowoc.
Upon his retirement in 1994, his free time was spent volunteering in his community with the organization “Meals on Wheels” and enjoying his family.  Countless hours were spent cheering for his grandchildren at sporting events, with “Mickey” by his side.
A Celebration of Life service was held Jan. 18 at Calvary Chapel, La Habra, Calif.; followed by interment at Olive Lawn Memorial Park in La Mirada, Calif.
He is survived, and forever loved, by his wife Mickalina, his oldest son Bob (and wife Patty), his youngest son Doug (and wife Jenifer), grandchildren  Robert (and wife Leslie), Kevin, Chad, Courtney, Troy (and wife Lauren), Kasey, and his great grandson Andrew (son of Robert and Leslie).
