Robert C. Myrick

Robert C. Myrick, 90 yrs., of Columbia, Ill., passed away at The Bridges of Columbia, in Columbia, Ill. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1 at Lawlor Funeral Home in Columbia, Ill. with Rev. William Groennert officiating. Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Lawlor Funeral Home.
Interment was in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery in Columbia, Ill.
He was born in Portage Des Sioux, Mo., the son of the late Ernest and Ruth (Studer) Myrick.
Robert and his wife were the owner/operators of Myrick Feed in Valmeyer, and Waterloo, Ill., for over 37 years. He was active with various local livestock feeding operations, and was a member of Columbia Blue Lodge No. 474 A.F. & A.M.
Bob loved his community and took every opportunity to share a story with anyone who would listen. He was married to the late JoAnn “Norma” (Tackett) Myrick. They were married on September 17, 1949, at St. Louis, Mo. She had passed away November 24, 2010.
He was also proceeded in death by his sister, Ernestine Wallace.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Nancy) Myrick, of Waterloo, Ill.; daughter Patricia (Dale) Shore, of Waterloo, Ill.; son Keith (Cindy) Myrick, of Waterloo, Ill.; grandchildren Megan (Dan) Menke, Monica, Ivy, and Cade Myrick; sister Helen Thompson, of Vandalia, Mo.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
