Rebecca “Becky” Sanderson, 80, of Clarksville, Mo., died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Mo. Visitation was from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A private family burial was held at the Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana, Mo.
Becky was born Sept. 24, 1943, in Louisiana, Mo., to Raymond W. Raney and Bernice Love Raney. She grew up on the family farm in Frankford, Mo. She married Billy George Sanderson on Dec. 28, 1967.
Her parents, husband, stepson, Donnie Sanderson, brother-in-law, Mike Betts, two nephews, Jeff and Chris Kent, and friend, Lonnie Sutton, all died earlier.
She is survived by her daughter, Shonda (Keith) Stone, stepson, Ronnie (Vicki) Sanderson, two grandchildren, Andrew (Amelia) Stone, and Shelby Stone, two step-grandchildren, Shane (Holly) Sanderson, and Tami (Andrew) Sartori, her siblings, Charlotte (Jim) Adams, Donna (Junior) Kent, Gary (Linda) Raney, Debra Betts, Dennis (Faye) Raney, and many nieces and nephews.
Becky enjoyed a lifelong banking career at Bank of Louisiana and Mercantile Bank in Louisiana, Mo., and Clifford Bank in Clarksville, Mo. She enjoyed crocheting, watching hummingbirds while drinking her coffee, traveling, and spending time with family. She didn’t know a stranger.
Honorary pallbearers were Gregg Kent, Brian Raney, Brent Raney, Bradley Raney, Shane Betts, and Justin Raney.
