Services for Randall Lee Smith, 62, of Perry, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Perry Christian Church with the Rev. Nancy Kellstrom, the Rev. Nathan Dittmer, and Charles Nutt officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith passed at 9:10 a.m., April 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City.
He was born September 5, 1952 in Hannibal, the son of Robert Eugene and Mary Lucille (Kitty) Tredway Smith.
He was married to Rebecca Louise (Becky) See on November 7, 1970 in Perry and she survives.
Other survivors include three sons and their spouses, Danny and Tracy Lyle Smith, of Parnell; Scott and Tamara Hitchcock Smith, of Bevier; and Kyle and Ashley Brown Smith, of Perry; two brothers, Denny Smith, of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico; and Rusty and Donna Smith, of Arvada, Colorado; and four grandchildren, Austin and Clayton Smith, of Bevier; and Alicia and Alex Smith ,of Parnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Stephanie Smith.
Mr. Smith was a lifetime area resident and a 1970 graduate of Mark Twain High School. He worked at Continental Casting until his retirement, as an electrician. He grew up in the Boy Scouts under his father’s guidance as the Cub Master. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Pallbearers were Bruce Coleman, Dean Power, Rick Baker, Dennis Diffenderfer, David See, and Tim Chinn. Honorary pallbearers were Monty Dunlap, Larry Beasley, and Raymond Kirtlink.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lick Creek Cemetery or the American Cancer Society.
