The 2014 Ralls County Fashion Revue was a great success.
The judging was held at the Ralls County Courthouse on the evening of July 10 where the contestants modeled the outfits they have constructed or purchased.
Along with the modeling, the judge asked questions about the garments and their accessories; and about the knowledge of their clothes.
The girls then publicly presented their outfits at the Ralls County Fair, as a short biography was read. At this time the awards were announced.
All of the young ladies were honored with a blue ribbon and four of them are state recipients.
In the category of “clothes you make,” there are three age categories; 8-10; 11-13, and 14 and over.
For the 8-10 group, Krayleigh Power received the state honor with her beautiful purple plaid dress; Evie Rodenbaugh is the state alternate with her very cute cow costume.
Jessica Stinson, wearing a snazzy green and gold embellished jacket, was the state winner of the 11-13 division; our state alternate recipient was Della Rodenaugh with her very classy mustache print skirt ensemble; and winner of the first year award was Emily Branham, with her colorful pajama set.
In the “clothes you buy” 8-10 age division, Reagan Shultz was state recipient wearing her comfy cute sun dress.
Erin Rubemeyer was in the 14 and over division.
She chose an eloquent strapless white dress with teal cowgirl boots. She is also a state winner.
Congratulations to all of the Ralls County 4-H participants, the state fashion revue will be held on September 13 in Columbia on the University of Missouri campus.
