R-VI’s Jewelee Winn breaks school records

Three Lady Trojans had strong performances for the Community R-VI track and field team at the recent Montgomery Invitational.
Jewelee Winn broke two school records at the invitational in the field events.
Winn finished sixth in the discus after a toss of 88’11.75”, which broke the school record. She also broke the school record in the shot put by more than two feet after a toss of 29’3.5”.
Amelia Knipfel took sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 20.95 seconds. She also placed seventh in the 300-meter hurdles  in 1:02.40.
Lexus LaGesse did not finish in the top eight but she did set a personal record in the shot put with a toss of 24’.
Winn led Community R-VI at the Louisiana meet after finishing third in the discus with a toss of 85’8”. She also placed eighth in the shot put with a toss of 27’8”.
Emmalee McCoskey placed fifth in the high jump after clearing 4’4”.
