R-VI track ready to break records

Community R-VI head track and field coach Bob Fischer is excited to see how his program with several returners progress during the 2012 season and is anxious to see what school records they will set this year.
This year’s Lady Trojans are returning several athletes who earned top eight finishes in last year’s EMO Conference meet
Paige Harris took seventh in the discus and eighth in the shot put last year as she will be the leader in the field events in 2012.
Individually, Caroline Schafer took eighth in the 100-meter hurdles at districts. This year, she’s expected to see time in the 300-meter hurdles, 100 meters, and the long jump.
Kaitlin Orr, a state qualifier in cross country this past fall, is expected to run  the 800 meters and the mile.
The relay teams 4×100- and 4×200-meter relay teams that have three of four returning runners on both. Those runners include Morgan Kuda, Leah Mays, Tina McCoskey, Orr, Harris, and Schafer.
