R-VI students attend conference

Members of the Health Occupations I class at Davis H. Hart Career Center recently attended the 2012 Missouri State Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Leadership Conference held March 30th at Four Rivers Career Center in Washington, Mo. Donna Butts is the local HOSA Chapter advisor.
HOSA is a career and technical student organization for students who are interested in a career in health care. Students from across Missouri met to compete in state leadership competition. Students who placed in the top three in their division are eligible to compete at the national level. National HOSA Convention will be held June 20-23 in Orlando, Fla.
Winning recognition in the state competition were: Megan Jones. Human Growth & Development Knowledge Test, first place and Christina McCoskey. Conception of Health Care Knowledge test, second place. Both young ladies are juniors attending HCC from Community R-VI High School.
