R-VI sets school records at MSD Relays

The Community R-VI Lady Trojans track and field team finished ninth overall with 12 points in the MSD Relays held last Thursday.
Sophomore Natalie Thomas set both a personal record and school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a fourth place time of 19.56 seconds.
In the 300-meter hurdles, Thomas placed sixth with a time of 1:00.93 for another PR.
Freshman Brianna Beamer placed fourth in the 1,600 meters as she set a school record with a PR time of 6:10.45. Beamer also set a PR in the long jump by placing sixth with a leap of 12’09”.
Alissa Craig placed fifth in the discus with a toss of 74’03”. She was also seventh in the shot put with a toss of 28’.
Her teammate Sirrina Dunn set a PR with a discus toss of 54’09”.
Community R-VI’s 4×200 squad of Paige Risenhoover, Elisa Swaim, Thomas, and Beamer were seventh witha time of 2:07.25.
The boys program was led by Hunter Hoeflicker, who placed eighth in the shot put with a PR toss of 33’05”.
He also set a PR in the discus with a toss of 68’10”.
